GLFx - in partnership with the Robert Bosch Foundation will support five new chapters with total seed funding of EUR 25,000 in order to restore the Greater Sahel region in Africa. The 17 shortlisted teams were identified from 138 applications from the following 23 countries: Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia (Republic of the), Ghana, Guinea, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan and Tunisia.

Now you have the chance to watch 17 incredible videos from the Greater Sahel region and vote for your favorites. Who will get the chance to secure seed funding and help build and restore degraded landscapes in Africa? Cast your vote before 8th August, 2021!

What's next? 

After the voting, a group of experienced assessors will evaluate and score the videos, community action plans, team profile (gauging potential for the team to deliver on the plan) and their budget. A final tally comprising the scores from the first and second rounds will be used to identify the chapters that will receive the grants.
